Pin headers are widely used in consumer electronics, industrial systems, IoT devices, and prototyping environments due to their low cost, compact form factor, and ease of use. Common applications include microcontroller development boards (like Arduino and Raspberry Pi), communication modules, and embedded systems.
Pin headers are typically made from brass or phosphor bronze with a layer of tin, gold, or nickel plating for corrosion resistance and improved conductivity. The insulator base is usually made from plastic materials like PBT or Nylon, which are durable and heat-resistant for withstanding soldering processes.
